From the Farm Gate to Your Plate

It doesn’t get any more direct from the farmer to you than when you buy at the farm gate. No middleman, no transport and no supply issues. It’s the best way to shop for premium taste, direct from the source freshness, and best value prices. Queensland Country shines when it comes to farm gates with a wide range of producers who love to see their farm fresh goods go straight into the hands of those who eat them.

Looking for organic meat, premium apples, local cheese or jam or truffles? There are many places where you’ll want to stop and buy when visiting the Granite Belt.

These are the places to visit - Gleneden Farm, Sutton’s Juice Factory and Cider Shed Cafe, Stanthorpe Cheese, Jamworks, The Truffle Discovery Centre and The Folly Truffles.

Further west, put Coolmunda Olives, Condabilla Fish, Charleys Creek Meats and Leven K Farm on your list for olives, Murray Cod, premium wagyu and edible lavender.

Ghost Gully Produce’s Salad, Native Oz Bushfoods, 9 Dorf, and Awassi Cheesery are top farm gates in the food bowl of the Lockyer Valley where you’ll find fresh salad ingredients, sheep milk cheese and more, along with spices and seasonings made with Australian native botanicals.

In Toowoomba, Metiisto Chocolate makes bean-to-bar chocolate, while just of town, Bannock Brae offers premium meats.

Queensland Country Tourism acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waterways that run through these regions. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present and emerging.
