Want to milk a cow, watch cheese being made or learn blacksmithing? At Gleneden Farm, you can do all of that, plus camp! Nestled in a valley under Cunninghams Gap near Maryvale, Gleneden Farm is owned by the Morris family. Rohan and Fiona and their children Eden and Jethro run a small-scale, ethically managed, mixed organic farm using regenerative farming practices and methods. All their animals are pastured, living free range in the great outdoors. They are moved regularly for optimal health and to prevent overgrazing. The Gleneden Farm Shop (open by appointment only) stocks pastured pork, pasture-fed lamb and beef, seasonal farm produce and local arts and crafts. You can subscribe to the Gleneden Community (CSA) and receive a monthly produce delivery plus extra Community benefits. Gleneden Farm is a one-and-a-half-hour drive from Brisbane.
Rohan Morris is one of Australia’s last working bullockies and offers workshops on how to train a bullock team, blacksmithing and leatherwork, regenerative farming, organic farm animal management and homestead skills such as sourdough baking, preserving and soapmaking.
Visit the farm and capture those beautiful paddock vistas or the picturesque creek.
