Throw your picnic hamper from The Graziers Daughter in the boot and head on a 40-minute drive from Toowoomba to Ravensbourne National Park for a beautiful picnic spot looking east over the valley. The Graziers Daughter is owned by Wendy Cook, who sources her hamper products (24 hrs notice required) from local artisans, farmers and makers. Expect local pate made by Lily’s in Highfields and cheeses from Awassi Cheesery. Closer to Toowoomba, you can picnic in Peacehaven Park at Highfields or Crows Nest National Park has bush picnic sites with tables. Take a swim in the sandy bottom creek and visit the waterfall. It’s just a 45-minute drive north of Toowoomba.
Feeling hungry? The Graziers Daughter has a Homestead Deluxe Hamper with crackers, relish, nuts, figs, olives and Anzac biscuits, Florentines, chocolates, fudge and biscotti, plus sparkling red or white wine.
Turn it into an Insta reel and share your hamper reveal by untying the ribbon around that glossy black box to show the goodies inside.
