Murphys Creek Chilli Festival

Each year in September, Murphys Creek celebrates fire and flavour in the Lockyer Valley with a chilli festival. Enjoy over 60 chilli-themed vendors and international food trucks serving fresh food with gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options. There will be 100 products to sample and shop and fresh food trucks with cooling drinks. Murphys Creek is a one-hour, 30-minute drive west of Brisbane along the Warrego Highway, turning right at Withcott. It sits below the Great Dividing range. It’s also an easy 25-minute drive from Toowoomba’s CBD via the scenic route north through Highfields and down the range.

Guru Tip
The Murphys Creek Chilli Festival includes hilarious chilli challenges for adults, while the kids have watermelon and ice pole eating competitions.
