Toowoomba Farmers Market

Every week local farmers gather under the windmills at Cobb and Co Museum in Toowoomba for the Saturday market. Pick up a freshly brewed coffee and browse the stalls that include local and seasonal produce, local meat, handmade bread, artisan baking, pasta, jams, salts, honey, eggs and locally grown herbs and salad items. You are buying directly from the farmers and local food artisans, so talk with them about what’s in season and what they produce. Growers and producers include Awassi Cheese, Gourmet Mushrooms, Coolbardie Olives, Darling Downs Honey, and Twin Pines Kombucha. Bring your pooch, as it is a dog-friendly market, and the off-leash dog park is just across the road at Queens Park. Toowoomba is an easy 1.5-hour drive west of Brisbane.

Guru Tip
Pick up a Grow Your Own Oyster Mushroom kit from Top of the Range Mushrooms and enjoy the freshest mushrooms possible.
