Balancing Heart Vineyard, Ballandean

Voted best small cellar door by Gourmet Traveller Wine, Greg Kentish’s Balancing Heart Vineyard is 30 kilometres south of Stanthorpe near Girraween National Park and just nine minutes’ drive from Ballandean. The cellar door is open daily, offering wine with wood-fired pizzas, platters and cheeseboards for lunch. Sunset dinners from Friday to Sun start from 4 pm (bookings required). Live music is a weekend feature. Join the Philosophy of Wine Tour every Saturday afternoon from 1.30 pm (bookings essential) and spend an hour with Australian Winemaker of the Year Mike Hayes. You’ll learn about winemaking in the region and how to evaluate wines like a wine judge.

Guru Tip
Extend your visit with a stay at Balancing Heart’s Campfire Cottage, which sleeps up to four guests.

Insta Moment
Walk between the vines and capture your insta-moment propped next to the heart-shaped granite rock that gave the vineyard its name.
