Taste the Big Fat Lamb Lunch at Awassi Cheesery, Grantham

With acres of lush lawns and friendly Dorper sheep wandering through the yards, you’ll find the perfect country picnic spot under the avocado trees at Awassi Cheesery outside Grantham. There’s room to play frisbee, bocce, or even totem tennis against Bamboo, the farm dog. This bespoke farmstead sheep cheesery with 140 sheep and 80 lambs is a fully accredited ice cream and cheese factory. All sheep milk is produced on-site at the farm and used to make their cheeses, including pecorino, labneh, fetta, halloumi, and Grantham Signature, a cheese with coffee and chilli that is soaked in rum. Buy cheese from the farm shop to add to your picnic spread.
