Stanthorpe Berry Festival

If you love strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, head to the Granite Belt for the annual Stanthorpe Berry Festival in November. Held in Weeroona Park, it’s a day full of interactive experiences, masterclasses, taste testing, demonstrations and meet-the-farmer opportunities. Enter the jam competition with your best jar of homemade jam, feast on freshly picked produce, take part in Jamworks’ berry delicious journey or explore the market and food stalls or kick back with live music on the Strawberry Field. The Scone and Jam Eating Competition takes place on centre stage. It’s not just all berries! You also can feast with the Festival BBQ crew, Shank Brothers. Finish the weekend by picking your own strawberries at Ashbern Farms or Eastern Colour. Stanthorpe is less than three hours drive from Brisbane and two hours from Toowoomba.

Guru tip: This is definitely the time to indulge with an iconic strawberry ice cream!

Instagram moment: Share that strawberry sundae of course!
