Internationally renowned chef Bruno Loubet and his wife Catherine run Willow Vale Cooking School at Perseverance. Bruno returned to Queensland after running the highly successful Grain Store restaurant in London where he championed vegetables. The Willow Vale Cooking School class schedule reflects the seasons and a sustainable lifestyle focus. Many class ingredients come from Bruno’s prolific permaculture vegetable garden. The three hour workshops run on weekends and some Wednesdays. Located between Esk and Toowoomba, the Willow Vale Cooking School is about a two-hour drive from Brisbane’s CBD, past scenic Lake Wivenhoe and Esk. It’s just a half-hour drive from Toowoomba through Highfields.
